Pickups Seymour Duncan Strat Joe Bonamassa Custom Shop 63 Cradle Rock
Seymour Duncan Strat Joe Bonamassa Custom Shop 63 Cradle Rock pickups, a unique set available in very limited quantities, 1000 units manufactured and mountable on pickguard on request, in our workshop. Here's what Seymour Ducan says about the meaning of Joe Bonamassa's "good sound"?
"Joe Bonamassa first discovered the Cradle Rock Strat® as a teenager at the Philadelphia Guitar Show in 1994. He purchased the then-pristine 1963 Sunburst Fender Stratocaster® and it became one of of the most sentimental pieces in his collection. Named after the Rory Gallagher song that Joe recorded on his first album, the pickups on this Strat® had a powerful, distinctive sound that he wanted to share with guitarists seeking that sound unique. The Seymour Duncan Custom Shop designed the correct winding to the correct specifications, aged the magnets, and matched the cover colors until Joe considered these pickups a "perfect" recreation of the originals. Made in the Custom Shop, the "Cradle Rock Strat®" pickup set comes in a deluxe box, each pickup is labeled and signed by Joe himself.
The pickups feature vintage aged white relic plastic covers that replicate the originals on Joe's Strat. Ideally you should assemble the set with a "Phone Book" .05uF/150V oiled paper or ceramic .05uf/50V capacitor, 5-position selector, a trio of high quality CTS 250K potentiometers.
Joe Bonamassa is an authority on guitar tones and recognized for his extensive knowledge of vintage guitars and their specificities. The limited edition Joe Bonamassa Cradle Rock '63 pickup set is the heart and soul of one of his favorite guitars. Whether you're looking for Joe's sound or want the "best Strat sound" for yourself, these are the mics for you.
